When is worship?
Our Sunday worship service is at 10:00 am. It is a mixture of traditional and contemporary worship styles, and Holy Communion is celebrated once a month (usually on the first Sunday.)
Do you have Sunday School classes?
Yes! Our adult Sunday School class meets at 9:00 through the school year. We also have Children’s Church for younger children (toddlers and preschoolers) that meets during Church Service.
Where is the best place to park?
We have two parking lots. One is to the south of the church, on the corner of 13th and L. The other is on the east side of the church, right off the highway. You may use either of these, or you can park on the street. You will find several handicapped spaces near the south lot.
I have young children. Should I still come?
Absolutely! Babies, toddlers, and children are an important part of our church family. We have “busy bags” that are filled with crayons and coloring pages and toys; children are welcome to play with these during the service. We also have a special children’s message during the service, which presents the topic of the day in a fun and engaging way that young children can understand. And children are welcome to stay in the sanctuary throughout the service, but we do have nursery care available if you prefer to take your baby/child there after the children’s message.
What goes on at First UMC during the week?
A lot! Things are pretty busy around here during the week through the school year! We’ve got choir, prayer groups, youth group, Bible studies, and mission projects—check out our adult ministry and youth ministry pages for more details.
Can I talk to someone?
Our office is open from 9-12 from Monday-Friday. If you are in need of pastoral care, you can call Pastor Emily at the office or email her at [email protected]
